Pre-K 3 Agenda

September 23rd-27th

A big thank you to all my PRE-K 3 parents for attending PIE night. It was so nice chatting with you and informing you on our upcoming school year. I hope I answered most of your questions and concerns and you found it to be helpful as well as enjoyable.

As mentioned earlier, the remainder of this month will be geared towards adjusting to our school routine, regulating through out our classroom centers and making friends and using our hands in positive manners. If you have any books at home that pertain to the topic of friendship and kindness and you would like to loan them to our class for a read aloud feel free.

Our centers for this week will include several hands-on activities. Play dough, the sand table, water tables, sensory matching puzzles, magnetic blocks, easel painting… will all be available for open choice as well as dramatic play and the block area. I am keeping as many centers open as needed in order to reduce crowding and maintain attention spans without the constant need to share. Yes, sharing is caring but at this stage it is all about ME (your child).

Art for this week will be a continuation of our friendship trees, creating our Chester the Raccoons from The Kissing Hand and stamping with red, green and yellow apples to create prints. After we create our apple print’s we will have an apple observation and tasting. We will compare the difference between a red, green and yellow apple. The color, size, taste, texture and smell will all be topics of discussion SO MUCH FUN!
