Feb 4th-8th
Our letter for this week will be V for Valentine’s Day YAY!
Centers for this week will include heart pattern matching, heart stenciling and molding letter V’s with pink and red valentine’s dough. Our dramatic play area will be transforming into a post office for mailing valentine’s and packages. Any spare stationary sets, empty boxes, envelopes, tape or any other supplies pertaining to a post office are welcome. All other centers are available as always.
Art for this week will include Letter V valentine’s vases, love bugs, heart collages and heart wreaths…We will also finish up our paper towel tube roll Eskimos.
PARENT INVOLVEMENT
We want to see who makes up your loving family. Work together with your child in creating a family tree. This project can be 3D (made with a paper towel tube roll, box, milk carton….) or on a poster board, science board or made up of any other materials you wish. Include pictures of your closest members and even caregivers if you like. These pictures should be of family who are recognizable to your child as they will present their project in circle time. Be sure to label each picture in BIG BOLD LETTERING as well. Talk about your pictures as you build together. Be creative in using various materials such as pom poms, tissue paper, markers, glitter, popsicle sticks….and most importantly HAVE FUN. Due by Monday February 11th.
HEADS UP!!!
On Thursday February 14th at 1:30pm you are invited to our classroom to join us for a special game of heart bingo in celebration of Valentines Day and Winter recess. Feel free to bring in treats to share with our class or Valentine/s,…. We look forward to sharing this LOVELY time with you!
