Dear Parents,

This week we started a new theme: All About Us! The kids have really enjoyed learning about what makes everyone special and unique. They really loved the book we read It’s Okay to be Different by Todd Parr. They have noticed the similarities and differences between each other and how this makes each of us unique.

We have also continued our learning of different shapes and the amount of sides each shape has. They have learned how to find and notice shapes all around us in everyday life. They have played math games which involve rolling a die and putting that amount of dot counters on a slice of pizza. Another game they played involved looking at a slice of pizza that already had acertain amount of dot counters on it and matching that same amount on their slice of pizza.

Please note the following:

Experience a PKA is on November 14 from 6:45-7:45 pm. Please join us as we go through your child’s daily routines and activities!

Students are getting in the habit of taking off their jackets and placing them in the big clear bags along with their backpacks. If they have lunch boxes, they can place them in the top part of their cubby. Please have them sign their name and move their name stick beforegoing to wash their hands. Please allow them to do this as we are building independence.
Also, we would love for you to join us on Friday, November 16 for the Thanksgiving International Luncheon at 11am in our classroom. We also invite you to bring a dish that can be shared with the rest of the class.

Enjoy the weekend!

Ms. Francesca
