Dear Parents and Families,

Thanksgiving is an important time for all of us to reflect on the importance of being thankful and expressing gratitude for all the people in our lives. I am grateful for your support in helping to create a growing community, focused on our vision to equip our students to meet the challenges of the 21st Century with confidence, integrity and respect. THANKSGIVING RECESS EARLY DISMISSAL, Wednesday, 11/27, 11:00 a.m.

ICE CREAM PARTY $5 each, Wednesday, 11/27, 11:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m. (K-8 only.)

PENNIES FOR PATIENTS: Raising money for Leukemia Society. Every penny helps!

TUITION PAYMENTS: Please hand in all tuition payments into the ‘mailbox’ located outside Ms. Louisa’s office.  Any questions please email finance@astorialutheranschool.com

SUNDAY SCHOOL: Children’s church is every Sunday from 10:00 a.m. – 10:20 a.m. After that children ages 3-10 attend classes based on the message in church and the service continues with adult church until 11:10 a.m.

8th GRADE HIGH SCHOOL APPLICATIONS: The application process continues on the myschools.nyc website. Last day to input information for parents is Monday, 12/2.

MISSION DONATIONS: In November we are collecting money for Seafarers and International House. This month we are also asking for donations of pasta or other non-perishable foods. Grade school children can bring their donations to chapel on Wednesdays.

SOCIAL MEDIA: Please use social media wisely to promote our school. Any issues involving the school should be addressed with me directly. Being at the gate in the morning provides you with an opportunity to speak with me about any issues or questions you may have. Thank you for your support!
