Dear Parents, Guardians, Faculty and Staff,

This is a follow-up to my letter dated 3/5/2020.  As you know, there continues to be wide-spread concern among parents and school leaders regarding COVID-19 (the Novel Coronavirus). I am writing to share that the Department of Health and New York State Education Department have issued numerous updates on the number of cases of COVID-19 and recommendations for protecting the public. Updates include information for schools regarding steps to be taken in various circumstances and criteria for implementing safety measures.

I want to reassure you that while information changes throughout each day and from one day to the next, at this time, we have not received any notices from the Department of Health regarding our need to close our school or implement other actions than has already been implemented.

We continue to implement cleaning and sanitizing protocol as recommended by the New York State Department of Health and the New York State Education Department.  We are encouraging our faculty, students and staff to wash their hands before and after lunch and repeatedly throughout the day, cover their coughs and refrain from touching their faces, particularly their eyes, nose and mouth.

Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation. Any donations of cleaning or sanitizing products would be greatly appreciated!

Sincerely,

Robert Alovisetti
